You can cycle from Shoreditch in the east end to Walthamstow in north east London, entirely on quiet streets and protected cycle lanes. The route is 9.2km long (5.75 miles) and makes use of the Bethnal Green low traffic neighbourhood, Cycleway 27, some Hackney LTNs, and segregated cycle lanes on Lea Bridge Road and other streets. The journey takes around 35 minutes to ride, which is faster than the same trip by public transport.
