Ruling on Delaying the Prayer Past Its Time - Sheikh Sulaiman Ar-Ruhaily

Delaying the prayer until its time has expired is a major sin. Listen to the stern warning from Sheikh Sulaiman Ar-Ruhaily. How many times have we woken up, found that the prayer time had already begun, and gone back to sleep? Or set an alarm only for work hours, not for prayer? In this short reminder, Sheikh Sulaiman Ar-Ruhaily reminds us that taking the prayer out of its time is among the greatest of the major sins, and he invites us to reflect on its consequences in the Hereafter. In this video you will hear: 🔹 Delaying the prayer past its time is among the greatest of the major sins 🔹 Examples of negligence: waking up and going back to sleep, or taking waking up for prayer lightly and setting an alarm only for work time 🔹 Some scholars say that whoever does this deliberately has no prayer, and making it up is of no benefit; however, the Sheikh stresses that the correct view is that he must still make up that prayer (qadā'). His aim is to remind us how dangerous this matter is 🔹 If Allah ﷻ has threatened with woe (wayl) those who pray yet delay it until the very end of its time, what of those who take the prayer completely out of its time? 🔹 This is one of the reasons for entering the Fire, and people will not be able to endure its punishment 🔹 The scorching heat and biting cold of this world are merely a breath from the breath of Hell 🔹 One single dip in the Fire makes a person forget all the pleasures of this world 🔹 However long this world may be, it is fleeting and will perish, while the return is to Allah, who will question us and hold us to account 📌 Note: this video is a short clip from the Sheikh's advice.
