A Royal Priesthood | 1 Peter 2:9 | Daily Christian Devotional ‪@JBFellow‬

You are not ordinary in Christ. You are chosen, holy and called to represent God. 1 Peter 2:9 gives believers one of the clearest statements of identity in the New Testament: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…” — 1 Peter 2:9 In today’s devotional, “A Royal Priesthood,” Matthew (Tolu) Olowoyeye reflects on what it means to belong to God and to live as part of His chosen people. Peter uses powerful language: Chosen. Royal. Holy. His own. These are not empty titles. They describe a new identity and a new responsibility. Because you are part of God’s royal priesthood: • You belong to God. • You have access to Him through Christ. • You are set apart for His purposes. • Your life is meant to reflect His character. • You are called to represent Him in the world. • You are part of a people chosen to declare His goodness. A priest represents God before people and brings people before God in prayer. A royal priesthood carries both dignity and responsibility. You have been called not merely to receive from God, but to serve Him. Not merely to know His light, but to proclaim it. Not merely to enjoy your identity, but to live it. You are chosen. You are holy. You are called. You are part of a royal priesthood. Read the full devotional: https://thebereanblog.com/devotional/...
