SS Robin - The Big Lift

On June 28th 2010 the world's last remaining steamcoaster SS Robin was successfully lifted onto her new purpose-built museum pontoon by two of the UK's largest land cranes in Lowestoft, Suffolk. In a tandem lift of extreme complexity, the world's oldest complete steamship was finally brought to rest on her new floating home, where she will be displayed for all to enjoy, creating a world first in maritime heritage conservation.
