Lassen Volcanic National Park | Juniper Lake and Crystal Lake

Our road trip from Lake Tahoe, NV to Lassen Volcanic National Park took an unexpected turn - and led us to two beautiful lakes! After leaving Lake Tahoe, we made our way toward Lassen Volcanic National Park in Northern California. Along the way we passed through areas devastated by the 2021 Dixie Fire before taking a spontaneous off-roading detour down Chester Juniper Lake Road to Juniper Lake and Crystal Lake. We ended our day in Chester, CA where we checked into the historic Bidwell House Bed & Breakfast for the next two nights.
