We Almost Hit a HUGE Buck! Then Banff Disappointed Us | Alaska Road Trip Ep. 6

Our Alaska & Arctic Ocean road trip continues, and Day 6 turned into one of the most eventful days of our journey! 🇨🇦🚙🏔️ After breakfast at Tim Hortons with our friends, we said our goodbyes and started making our way toward Banff, Alberta. But while taking the quieter back roads, we suddenly came face-to-face with a huge 12-point buck. It happened incredibly fast. The deer came so close to our truck that I had to brake as hard as I could. For a moment, we genuinely thought we were going to hit it. Thankfully, we escaped what could have been a serious accident and continued out of Calgary We also had an appointment at Toyota to service our truck and hoped to finally resolve some sensor issues we had been experiencing. Unfortunately, that didn't go the way we expected, and we left disappointed. Afterward, we washed the vehicles and got back on the road. CHAPTERS: 0:00 - Intro 0:37 - Start 3:00 - Morning chores 5:30 - Toyota Service Centre 10:00 - Trailer wash 16:00 - Banff :-( 23:00 - Lunch 23:30 - Bow Lake Then came Banff. We have wonderful memories of Banff from our previous visit, so we were excited to return. This time, however, things felt very different. It took us around 45 minutes just to find parking, and the town was so crowded that we weren't enjoying the experience the way we remembered it. Instead of forcing ourselves to stay, we decided to cut our Banff visit short and continue the journey. And that decision led us to one of the highlights of the entire day… 🏔️ Bow Lake. Surrounded by the magnificent Canadian Rockies, we stopped at Bow Lake, walked along the lake and enjoyed a quick lunch surrounded by incredible scenery. After the chaos of the day, Bow Lake was exactly what we needed.
