10% Urea Foot Cream: Managing Heat, pH & Crystallization

The real challenge is creating a water-containing emulsion that keeps the urea dissolved while maintaining its pH, viscosity, uniformity and smooth application. In this video, I’m making a 10% urea foot cream while explaining why processing temperature, water-loss replacement, ingredient order and controlled cooling matter. I’ll also cover urea degradation, crystallization, pH testing at room temperature and the importance of evaluating the finished cream again after it has rested. The finished batch came out beautifully—thick and rich, yet light, velvety and silky on the skin. This is a good example of why percentages alone cannot guarantee performance. The finished product still has to prove itself at the bench and continue to hold up over time.
