Israel Road Trip 2025: Road 40 - Mitzpe Ramon to Shizzafon / כביש 40 - מצפה רמון לשיזפון

The first of the three driving days of the Israeli road trip started in sun chasing around 4am, as I left from Ad Halom int. (southern exit of Ashdod) and arrived at Mitzpe Ramon minutes before sunrise on Tuesday morning as planned . After a short break in the observation point at Mitzpe Ramon exit, I drove on Road 40 south towards Eilat. Before highway 6 was built, this was the main road connecting the southern cities to the center of Israel.
