Wildfire Smoke Ruined the Views… Then We Found THIS! | Nakusp & Burton BC

Join us on another Canadian Adventures road trip as we travel by camper van from Revelstoke to Nakusp and Burton, British Columbia! 🇨🇦🚐 Our journey started with a ferry ride across the lake, but there was one big problem — wildfire smoke had completely covered the mountains and lake views. What should have been a spectacular ferry crossing turned into a very hazy adventure! Once we reached Nakusp, we slowed things down and explored this charming BC community on foot. We wandered through the quaint shops, visited the beautiful Japanese Garden, and took a relaxing walk along the lakeside beach. And despite temperatures reaching 28°C, the beach was practically empty! We had this beautiful stretch of BC shoreline almost completely to ourselves. After exploring Nakusp, we continued south to Burton, where we set up camp at Burton Flats and spent the night surrounded by the incredible scenery of the West Kootenays. The next adventure was taking to the sky with the drone. From above, Burton and the surrounding mountains and lake looked completely different — and thankfully the views were much clearer than they had been on the ferry!
