If you're planning a trip to Cancun and thinking about staying at this All Inclusive resort, our comprehensive review will help you decide if it's the best choice for your upcoming vacation. OUR EXPERIENCE: The resort has approximately 300 rooms and is located about a 25-minute drive from Cancun International Airport. To get from Cancun Airport to Royal Solaris Cancun, you can take taxis, private shuttles, or transportation included in your vacation package. We arrived at the resort after 1:00 PM, and our room was ready; the check-in process was simple and quick, taking only a few minutes before we headed down to our room, which was comfortable and clean, with a view of the Caribbean Sea; however, check-out was slower, and a late check-out was not possible. It appears that as we visit more resorts in Cancun, they are less interested in offering late check-out for an additional price. The facilities and surroundings were clean and well-organized, and we like the bulk of them, particularly great customer service and good drinks. The resort had several restaurants that could only be accessible with reservations through their app, which did not operate properly, as well as one big buffet: the " Las Fuentes " buffet, which served only breakfast and dinner, with lunch served at the seaside restaurant. In contrast to many of the places we visited in Mexico, the resort's food was fresh but repetitious, with limited choices. The resort's main attraction is a lovely beach with several kilometers of barrier-free walking on the sand. There were plenty of chairs on the beach, and we never had a problem getting one, but around 12:00 PM, it may get pretty crowded. Those who want to walk could leave the resort and discover many kilometers of boulevard to explore and enjoy. In conclusion, this is a good, well-organized resort with everything within walking distance, making it excellent for families with children and people who are unable or unwilling to walk long distances. Given the proximity to the airport, we would most likely return in the future. RESORT RATINGS: Value to Money – 5/5 Stars (We got what we paid for.) Location - 5/5 Stars (Close to the airport with a beautiful beach.) Beach - 5/5 Stars (Amazing beach, however it needs to be cleaned up more extensively to remove the sargassum.) Reception – 4.5/5 Stars (Although friendly and competent, late check-out availability should be addressed, as some guests may depart late and require an extended stay at the resort.) Service – 4.5/5 Stars (The service was great overall, except for the late checkout issue.) Buffet – 4/5 Stars – (The food was fresh, but repetitious, with limited choices.) Restaurants – 4/5 Stars (All of the restaurants have great atmospheres, but you must make reservations ahead of time. In our opinion, the best restaurant is the Asian restaurant "Tavo".) Rooms – 4/5 Stars (The room was nice, but it required some maintenance. Fortunately, everything in the room functioned well. A television with a great channel selection, a daily restocked mini-fridge, and a fully functional air conditioner. Thank you to our cleaner for doing an excellent job of cleaning and organizing our room every day.) Sleep Quality – 4/5 Stars (Hard mattress.) Cleanliness – 4.5/5 Stars (Organized and clean, with each staff member always contributing.) Internet- 4/5 Stars (Good speed, with the occasional loss of signal.)
