⏩    • Видео   　(Fast Walks in Japan) A Wednesday evening in Osaka — out of the office blocks at Sakaisujihommachi in the late afternoon sun, north through the old merchant streets of Semba to Kitahama, down onto Nakanoshima as the light turns gold, then west past the Central Public Hall to Dojimahama, over into Umeda and out to the new lawns of Grand Green Osaka. 📅 Date: Wednesday, September 23, 2026 ☀️ Weather: Clear 🌡️ Temperature: 27°C / 81°F 💧 Humidity: ~66% 📍 Distance: about 4.5 km / 2.8 miles 🕓 Start Time: 4:31 PM 📷 Camera: DJI Osmo Pocket 4 The walk begins at the Sakaisujihommachi crossing with the sun still high over the office towers, then drops into the grid of Semba — wholesalers, small offices and stone-fronted buildings from another century, quiet at this hour except for bicycles. North of Kitahama the city opens onto the river. Nakanoshima sits between the two channels of the Dojima and Tosabori, and the whole island turns gold in the last hour of daylight: lawns and benches under the expressway, the stone arches of Naniwabashi, and the red brick of the Central Public Hall standing where it has stood for over a hundred years. West along the island the towers of Dojimahama catch the light, and the crossing into Umeda brings the pace back up — traffic on the elevated expressway, crowds under Osaka Station, escalators and footbridges in every direction. The walk ends in Umekita Park at Grand Green Osaka, on lawns that were a rail yard until recently, with the sky going pink behind the towers. 🚶 No talking.
