Your ETABS analysis freezes at 0% on the P-Delta case, there is no clear error message, and you have no idea which element is causing it. In this video, I explain why a tiny modeling mistake can stop the P-Delta iteration from converging, and show a simple technique to find the exact element responsible, even when you can't see the problem by eye. You'll see how to: ✅ Understand why P-Delta fails to converge: how a large Δ feeds back into a larger moment, over and over ✅ Find a beam that is disconnected from its joint by only 3 cm, using the deformed shape under dead load ✅ Fix a Membrane slab that was auto-meshed into pieces (8 × 5) and collapses in the analysis ✅ Follow a 3-step checklist: turn P-Delta off, find the part that moves freely, fix it and turn P-Delta back on Built for practicing structural engineers and students modeling in ETABS. If you want the setup behind the P-Delta dialog box (Iterative Based on Loads, load combination for P), that is covered in my earlier P-Delta video: ▶ P-Delta effect in ETABS: [   • P-Delta Effect in ETABS Explained — ASCE 7...  ] ▶ Shell vs Membrane slabs: [   • Shell vs Membrane Slab in ETABS — Why the ...  ] 📋 Want a free, step-by-step structural design checklist so you never miss a step in your projects?
