Fuchu, autumn 1986. A 27-year-old woman meets an old friend after the rain. In the same right-hand-drive car, a cassette, a notebook and two different travel plans reopen a conversation they have left unfinished. One will spend a night by the sea, the other in the mountains. They can choose separate roads and still agree to meet again at seven after they return. The night stays in the low-rise streets of Fuchu in 1986. The sea and mountain rooms are future travel plans discussed by the two friends; they are not the current location. A cassette, paper directions and handwritten lists carry the plans through an evening before mobile navigation. 00:00:00 Fuchu 1986 (府中1986) 00:04:22 The Other Side of the Tape (テープの裏側) 00:08:10 Two Places on the Paper (紙の上のふたつの町) 00:12:10 Between the Low Roofs (低い屋根のあいだ) 00:16:07 Where the River Cannot Be Seen (川の見えない場所で) 00:20:08 A Room Facing the Sea (海へ向いた部屋) 00:24:09 The Page She Kept Open (彼女が閉じなかった頁) 00:28:27 Two Lists for Departure (出発前のふたつのリスト) 00:32:04 A Detour We Do Not Need (遠回りはいらない) 00:35:57 Seven After We Return (帰ったら七時) 00:39:57 Fuchu 1986 (府中1986) 00:44:19 The Other Side of the Tape (テープの裏側) 00:48:07 Two Places on the Paper (紙の上のふたつの町) 00:52:07 Between the Low Roofs (低い屋根のあいだ) 00:56:04 Where the River Cannot Be Seen (川の見えない場所で) 01:00:05 A Room Facing the Sea (海へ向いた部屋) 01:04:06 The Page She Kept Open (彼女が閉じなかった頁) 01:08:24 Two Lists for Departure (出発前のふたつのリスト) 01:12:01 A Detour We Do Not Need (遠回りはいらない) 01:15:54 Seven After We Return (帰ったら七時) (total 79m54s) All songs are original works — our own stories, lyrics and music, created with the help of AI, inspired by the Japanese city pop of the 1980s.
