The next day, I left a place called Mongau after having coffee in the morning. Simple start. Coffee. Pack the tent. Ride. After about 40 kilometers, I reached a place called Xangongo. There, with the help of a police brother, I found a local spot and ate chicken, rice, and beans for just 1,000 kwanza. That is less than two dollars. Real food. Hot. Filling. Angola is cheap, and I am grateful for it. From there, I started riding again. The road went through jungle. Trees on both sides. Silence. Nothing much happened along the way. Just the sound of my tyres and the occasional bird. By evening, I reached a spot someone had marked on iOverlander as a wild camping location. I went there and slept. The night was quiet. Nothing happened. Just stars and sleep. 📍 Xangongo, Angola Some days are not about drama. They are about moving forward, one quiet kilometer at a time.
