After winning 1-2 at Sebring, Audi put away their all-conquering R8s for Le Mans. Instead, the old R8Rs would take on the BMW, Panoz, and Rafanelli-Lola challenge at Charlotte's roval, hosting its first sportscar race in over a decade.
