2026 Spartan Ultra World Championship | HIGHLIGHTS

One for the history books: The 2026 Spartan Ultra World Championship in Morzine, France was a blast! Over 11,000 racers descended on the French Alps for one of the most grueling and iconic weekends in Spartan history. For the elite athletes taking on the Ultra, it was the ultimate battle against the mountain: 55 kilometers, 75+ obstacles, and a staggering 33% DNF rate. 800 athletes representing 46 nationalities lined up, but only the strongest survived. 🏆 RACE HIGHLIGHTS 🏆 Men's Race: Gregory Basilico completes his trophy cabinet! After dominating from the start, Basilico crossed the finish line in 6:32:32 to claim his first Ultra Crown and his fifth world title overall. Thibault Jean (6:44:48) and Antoine Freymond (7:18:23) rounded out the podium after a fierce, dramatic battle behind the leader. Women's Race: A comeback for the ages. Sabrina Daolio proved what it means to be unbreakable. After twisting her ankle just 7.8km into the race, she fought through seven hours of immense pain to take the incredible victory in 8:17:21. Külli Sizask and Ulrikke Evensen joined her on the podium in a true display of warrior spirit. Every finish line in Morzine tells a story, and every DNF fuels the next attempt.
