“When Darkness Falls” (2026) is the seventh studio album by the Italian thrash metal band Game Over (from Ferrara), released on September 18, 2026, via Scarlet Records. It is a lean, direct record (clocking in at around 31:50) that reinforces the band's identity as a “machine gun” of classic 80s American thrash, updated with modern production, attitude, and hardcore elements. The band makes no attempt to reinvent the genre but executes it with precision, razor-sharp riffs, speed, memorable hooks, and a balance between aggression and melody. The album addresses the “dark times” we live in: an era of conflict where evil lurks everywhere and nothing is as it seems. Each track shapes a landscape populated by demons and everyday monsters.
