🌿First thing in the morning, Yeva and Mykhailo set about their arduous farm work. The day promises to be hot—the sun has already risen high above the mountains—but the work won't wait. ☀️🌿 They mow the hay and then go together to turn it over so it dries thoroughly and keeps well for the winter.🌲🏔️🌿 🌿After finishing with the hay, they decide to switch gears and head into the mountains to look for porcini mushrooms. 🍄 There is always a chance of finding something delicious for the table in the forest, and the walk itself, amidst the mountain scenery, lifts their spirits and restores their energy.🍄‍🟫🌲🏔️ 🌿But there is no time to rest—there is still much work ahead. They return to the hay, pick up their rakes, and begin gathering it into a large stack. 🌾 Eva works by the growing pile while Mykhailo hauls in more hay, helping to speed through the massive workload. The stack rises higher and higher, holding the fragrant summer hay that will serve as winter fodder for the livestock. ❤️🏔️🌲 🌿The scorching sun is exhausting; their arms feel heavy and their clothes are soaked with sweat, yet the work must be finished. For that is how life in the mountains goes: as long as they have the strength, they work to ensure they have everything they need for the winter. 🌄🌲🏔️ 🌿 And so, the long day finally draws to a close. Tired but satisfied with their work, they light a fire 🔥, roast some *salo*, and prepare a simple yet delicious dinner.
