I chose this beautiful version of “Amazing Grace” sung in the Cherokee language because it reminds me that we don't always need to understand the words to understand the feeling. We recognize this melody almost immediately, and somehow its message of grace and inspiration comes through. I created the dance around a seated Sun Salutation movement sequence, allowing the familiar pattern to repeat with the music. That repetition is what gives this dance its meditative quality—the body begins to know where it's going, and the mind can simply settle into the movement. This seated dance will help you: 🙏 Experience a moving meditation through repetitive movement 🌬️ Connect flowing arm movements with the breath 💜 Gently open the chest, shoulders and upper body 🧠 Calm the mind through familiar movement patterns ✨ Create a moment for reflection, gratitude or prayer You might even dedicate this dance to someone special in your life. Sometimes we don't need to understand the words. We simply feel the message. ⚠️ Please consult your physician before starting any exercise program. Practice at your own pace and comfort level.
