The Rust NEVER Ends! 😱 | BMW E30 325i M-Tech 2 Restoration Pt. 16 We are back on the BMW E30 restoration, and just when I thought I had broken the back of it... I found more. This episode is all about the "joy" of exposing hidden rust and the reality of a full restoration. In this video, I’m getting stuck into the undercarriage and the chassis rails. I go from wire wheels to scrapers (and getting covered in "spider webs") to reveal the true scale of the rot. What’s happening in this episode: The Big Reveal: Scrubbing back the underseal only to find even more holes. Chassis Rail Repairs: Using magnets to mark out and tack in custom repair patches. Spot Welding Fabrication: Fabricating a new section from an old galvanized panel to fit the original rail. The Sunroof Dilemma: I take a close look at the roof skin and it’s worse than I thought.
