Did Paul REALLY Say Women Can’t Speak in Church?

What if one of the Bible’s most famous commands about women wasn’t originally written by Paul? In this video, we take a careful look at 1 Corinthians 14:34–35, which tells women to remain silent in church. We’ll examine the unusual manuscript history of these verses, the possibility that they originated as a marginal note, their tension with Paul’s acknowledgment of women praying and prophesying in 1 Corinthians 11, and alternative explanations if Paul really did write them. This isn’t about dismissing Scripture. It’s about taking Scripture seriously enough to examine its text, history, context, and transmission. Faith doesn’t have to fear scholarship.
