Take More Photos with Mom — Studio Session at The Penumbra Foundation

Last year, just before Christmas, I surprised my mom with a business-class ticket to New York City so we could spend the holidays together. It had always been one of my biggest dreams to be able to this for my mom. In February 2025, the Penumbra Foundation invited mom and I into their studio for a special portrait session to document our time together during this unforgettable visit. We used some of my favorite cameras: Hasselblad 500CM, Pentax 67, Pentax 17, Nikon F3, Polaroid I-2, and Polaroid Go. The entire session was shot on film: Kodak Gold 200, Portra 400 & 800, to Tri-X, Ilford Delta 100, HP5 Plus, and multiple Polaroid formats (B&W, 600, i-Type, and Go). The shoot took place at Highlight Studios inside the Penumbra Foundation in Midtown Manhattan, and the videos were filmed on a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, Sony FX3, and iPhone 15.
