Summer Red Chinook Salmon Underwater Footage: Extended Cut

20 minutes of Chinook Salmon doing their thing. First half of the video has music, the second half is river sounds only. Take your pick. This is a run of chinook salmon that was transplanted to the Chilliwack/Vedder system from a Fraser River tributary near Prince George. They are not believed to have much reproductive success in this river and are almost entirely a hatchery produced run to create a summer time angling opportunity. There are not many of these fish that return to the river, this years run is quite likely the strongest on record with approximately 3000 returning adults. A bit over 2000 made it to the hatchery and I would estimate that about 1000 were harvested by anglers, though that's just a guess on my part.
