In this video, we explore the profound teachings of Huang Po and the meaning of the Great Void — a central insight of Zen that challenges one of our deepest assumptions: that peace can only exist when the mind becomes quiet.
Huang Po pointed toward something radically different. You do not need to eliminate every thought, control the mind, or become a different version of yourself before experiencing clarity. The thoughts passing through awareness may be more like clouds moving across an open sky — appearing, changing, and disappearing without ever damaging the sky itself.
Through Zen Wisdom, we explore the distinction between thought and awareness, the One Mind, Original Mind, and why the endless search for peace can sometimes become the very thing that keeps us from noticing what is already here.
This is not simply a video about meditation.
It is an invitation to look at the way you experience anxiety, self-criticism, approval, overthinking, memory, comparison, and the constant narration of your own life. What happens when you stop trying to manage every experience and begin noticing the awareness in which experience appears?
Drawing from Huang Po's teachings, this exploration of Zen Wisdom asks a deeper question:
Who is the "you" trying so hard to become peaceful?
And what remains when the constant manager, judge, and narrator is no longer taken to be the whole truth?
If you have ever felt exhausted from overthinking, trapped inside your own thoughts, or frustrated by the endless search for inner peace, this perspective may offer something worth sitting with.
This is Zen Wisdom not as a technique for controlling the mind, but as an invitation to see through the assumptions that keep us identified with it.

The deeper message of *Zen Wisdom* is surprisingly simple: perhaps you do not need to conquer the noise of the mind. Perhaps you only need to see that the noise has always been moving through something far more open than the noise itself.
If this perspective changed the way you see your own mind, comment "Aware" below.
What are you still trying to control that might simply be asking to be seen?
