Save Your GL! Palpatine + Mara + Darth Vader (Duel's End) vs Bo-Katan (3v3) | GAC Archive

Save your Galactic Legend — the Empire has another answer. Bo-Katan (Mand'alor), Paz Vizsla and IG-12 & Grogu can be a nasty 3v3 defense and often justify using a very expensive counter. This time, I wanted to see if Emperor Palpatine, Mara Jade and the new Darth Vader (Duel's End) could do the job instead. They could. OFFENSE: • Emperor Palpatine (L) • Mara Jade • Darth Vader (Duel's End) OFFENSE DATACRON — NEW EMPIRE SET: • +7.8% Armor Penetration • +74.77% Critical Damage • +19.58% Health • +25.41% Protection Level 3: • The first time each Dark Side ally is defeated, remaining Dark Side allies gain 15% Offense and 20 Speed, stacking for the rest of the encounter. Level 6 — Empire: • Whenever an enemy loses Turn Meter, Empire allies gain stacking Protection Up (10%) for 2 turns. • Whenever an ally loses Protection Up, they gain 10% Turn Meter. This isn't necessarily the perfect Level 6 roll for this specific matchup — but it's the Empire Datacron I had available, and it was enough. DEFENSE: • Bo-Katan (Mand'alor) (L) • Paz Vizsla • IG-12 & Grogu DEFENSE DATACRON: • Light Side Level 3 — at the start of the encounter, the weakest ally gains 20% Turn Meter for every Light Side ally. With three Light Side characters on defense, the weakest ally can gain 60% Turn Meter at the start of the encounter. The question was simple: do I really need to spend a Galactic Legend or another premium team on this Bo-Katan defense? Not this time. Palpatine + Mara Jade + Darth Vader (Duel's End) turned out to be a very effective Empire solution — and saving a GL means having one more premium counter available for another difficult defense.
