Decoding Superficial Siderosis

Understanding the difference between Infratentorial Superficial siderosis (iSS) and Cortical Superficial siderosis. Infratentorial Superficial siderosis is the variant commonly known as Superficial siderosis of the central nervous system or simply Superficial siderosis. Cortical Superficial siderosis is located in the supratentorial area of the brain. The infratentorial area of the brain includes the cerebellum, while the supratentorial area contains the cerebrum.
