Living Off-Grid on 18 Acres of Mountain Paradise: Trailer Life, Old Stone Cabin & Outdoor Kitchen

This week, we continued working on the basement, finished the formwork and slowly got closer to pouring the concrete slab. Once the slab is poured, it needs 21 days to rest and cure, so we’ll have to take a little break from construction. With the weather getting worse soon, we’re hoping to get the concrete poured before the rain arrives. After spending some time in town, I appreciate the peace and quiet here even more. There is something so calming about being surrounded by mountains and endless green, and I’m especially happy to be experiencing my first autumn here. Until now, we only came to the property for weekends before going back to the city. Now we live here permanently, and I’m looking forward to seeing how our 18 acres of mountain land change with the seasons.
