*THROWBACK* | Journey On SWR Rail Replacement (Hounslow-Ascot) | WVL250 (S555 HCL)

A throwback to December 2023 where we ride Horseferry Coaches WVL250 (London Registration LX06EAP) operating the South Western Railway rail replacement bus service between Hounslow and Ascot. The bus was new to Go Ahead London as the aforementioned WVL250 and operated around East London. It also operated briefly with Imperial Coaches before going to Horseferry Coaches, gaining the S555HCL plate a Citaro formerly had which is now with White Bus. This is a newer B7TL so it still retains the D7C215 215hp engine but it has a ZF ecomat 6 speed gearbox instead of the usual 5 speed but despite these traits, its a decent B7TL. However, im unsure if this is still running on rail replacement services now as the last photo of it seems to be in early 2026 but nevertheless, a few more of the LX06 batch of B7TL Geminis remain in service in the UK. #ForTheLoveOfBuses
