From Chemical Engineering to Building in Tech | Kadwama Deborah Lazarus | The Blueprint

What happens when the path you imagined for yourself changes completely? Kadwama Deborah Lazarus once imagined becoming a medical doctor. An unexpected turn led her to Chemical Engineering, and then a three-day technology training in 2020 introduced her to a world she didn't even know existed. That experience changed the way she saw what was possible. In this conversation, Kadwama takes us through the journey, from discovering technology and questioning where the women were, to building a community of her own and becoming the Founder & Executive Director of Northeast Women In Tech. We talk about finding direction, making unexpected decisions, building with intention, managing competing priorities, defining success for yourself, and refusing to let your circumstances determine your possibilities. More than the work she does today, this is a conversation about what shaped the woman behind it. This is The Blueprint. Every Journey Has a Blueprint.
