Using Montana Metallic Gold in Fluid Art | Fantasy Swipe + Metallic Details

11x14 canvas In this video, I’m showing one of the ways I use MTN Liquid Metallic Gold in fluid art. This is also one of my favorite ways to use up colors I already have mixed and turn them into something completely new. I add the liquid metallic before swiping, then go back afterward to place additional gold exactly where I want it. ✨ Inspiration This style was inspired by MarjoleinArt’s Fantasy Swipe technique, which uses metallic spray paint in the Netherlands. Check out MarjoleinArt here:    / @marjoleinart_english   Almost two years ago, I started testing spray paints available in the US to achieve a similar metallic effect. After trying numerous options, I found that Montana Chrome Effect paints in Silver, Gold, and Copper worked really well. You can absolutely use the Montana Chrome Effect spray paints for this technique. I personally find MTN Liquid Metallic easier because I can use it at my worktable without having to go outdoors to spray. About a year ago, I came across MTN Liquid Metallic Paint and began experimenting with it in my fluid art. I did not use one in this video. The metallic will eventually gunk them up and they’ll need replacing, but in my experience it does not eat through the plastic. ⚠️ Safety Note: MTN Liquid Metallic is solvent-based. Although there is no aerosol when using the liquid version, it still produces solvent fumes. Use appropriate ventilation and a proper respirator, follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions, and shake thoroughly before use. I am not affiliated with the products listed above.
