The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs Bucs All-22 Review, Valdes-Scantling Return, Monday Presser Recap

October 21, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 38 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers signing WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad and what that might mean for the offense moving forward. Will Valdes-Scantling play on Sunday in Paris against the New Orleans Saints? If he does play, how many snaps is he likely to get? We address both of those questions early in this show. Does the return of Valdes-Scantling now decrease the chances of the Steelers trading for a wide receiver ahead of the NFL deadline a few weeks from? Alex and I address that question as part of our early-show conversations. The Steelers will leave for Paris on Thursday, so Alex and I discuss their itinerary and plans for the rest of the week. We also go all of the main talking points from Steelers HC Mike McCarthy from his Monday press conference and that includes his decision on not leaving for Paris until Thursday evening. The Steelers three coordinators, Danny Crossman, Brian Angelichio, and Patrick Graham, all talked to the media on Monday, so we go over the pertinent things that each had to say during their respective press conferences. Will S DeShon Elliott return from the Reserve/Injured list on Saturday and then play on Sunday against the Saints in Paris? Alex and I attempt to get a read on that question during this show. After finally getting through the All-22 tape from the Steelers’ Week 6 road win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Alex and I give our thoughts on what we observed from the offense, defense and special teams units. This 80-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above, and we end the show by answering several listener emails. steelersdepot.com
