We found a unique restaurant in Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture, not far from Kansai International Airport. The restaurant Ichiki Ryokan, established 150 years ago and designated as an important cultural property, is a historic Inn where you can enjoy dishes using fresh local seafood. Their specialties are fried “hamo” (Japanese conger eel) and hamo katsu (hamo cutlet) with egg on rice.
