Backpacking The Lost Coast Trail

The Lost Coast Trail in Northern California, one of the few coastal wilderness experiences in the U.S. The trail itself is 25 miles along the coast from Mattole Beach to Shelter Cove, CA. We did this trip in 3 days and 2 nights on July 29 - July 31, 2022. Permits, bear can and 2 hr shuttle from Shelter Cove to Mattole Beach are required. This is a remote and wild place, with incredible scenery and lot of stream crossing.
