Halloween Costumes, Candy Rankings, And Spooky Season Debates

Send us Fan Mail (https://www.buzzsprout.com/1530455/fa...) Halloween brings out everybody’s strongest opinions, so we pulled up with a full panel and let it fly. I’m Mike Bono, and Rusty, JJ, and Mister join me for our annual Halloween roundtable, starting with the kind of ridiculous warm-up questions that instantly turn into real debate. Then we get into costumes, including Rusty’s full Guy Fieri setup, vampire-era throwbacks, and my plan to go Doctor Strange for a work costume contest because I’m not shaving my beard for anybody.  From there, we go deep on Halloween food and drinks: pumpkin roll with cream cheese filling, warm apple cider with bourbon, candy corn, and the family “dirt dessert” that tastes way better than it sounds. We also settle the most important Halloween ranking of all: the best Halloween candy. Reese’s cups get a lot of love, Snickers stays solid, and Sour Patch Kids take some heat, especially for anyone whose stomach is not built like it was at 15. If you’re building a trick-or-treat bowl, planning a Halloween party menu, or just want a hit of spooky season nostalgia, this part delivers.  We keep it moving with the big seasonal debates: whether it’s always okay to grill on Halloween weekend, whether rain or snow is worse for trick-or-treat, and whether carving pumpkins is overrated or underrated. Then we draft Halloween movies and horror icons, giving Michael Myers his flowers while we argue over Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas. We wrap with the villains that actually scared us as kids, plus what we’re wearing this year.  If you laugh, share it with a friend, subscribe for more Ride Home Rants, and leave a quick rating or review so more people can find the show.
