Valhalla Calling (Official Music Video)

“A task awaits you. I will not tell you what it is. It will reveal itself in time.” What if the gods gave you a purpose, but left you to discover its meaning? Valhalla Calling tells the story of Rúnveig Hrafnsdóttir's journey through faith, heartbreak, betrayal, remembrance and ultimately, the discovery of her calling. It begins with a mysterious dream. Guided by the goddess Freyja, Rúnveig finds herself standing before Odin, the Allfather, who delivers a message that will remain with her long after she awakens. Months pass. Questions remain unanswered. A painful misunderstanding becomes a turning point, and through music, determination and reflection, Rúnveig begins to discover what Odin's words might mean. Then she discovers them. Fifty forgotten Norse warriors, buried beneath a foreign sky. No names remembered. No funeral pyres. No longships to carry them home. Their voices have been silent for centuries, but their stories deserve to be told. Through a powerful blend of cinematic CGI, stylised 2D animation and Nordic symphonic metal, Valhalla Calling follows Rúnveig as she transforms her experiences into a promise of remembrance. From the magnificent halls of Valhalla to the forgotten burial grounds of England, this is a story about finding purpose, honouring the dead and ensuring that those lost to history are never truly forgotten. “I WILL REMEMBER! I WILL TELL THEIR STORIES! TIME MAY TAKE THEIR NAMES... BUT I WILL NOT!” The music video concludes with the spirits of the forgotten warriors boarding their longships, finally sailing towards the golden halls of Valhalla. Their names may be lost. Their stories will not be. 🎵 Music & Production 🎤 Artist: Rúnveig Hrafnsdóttir 🎵 Song: Valhalla Calling 💿 Album: For Those Time Forgot 🎬 Production: Purple Valkyrie Productions 🎞️ Visual Style: Cinematic CGI & Stylised 2D Animation ⚔️ Genre: Nordic Symphonic Metal / Viking Metal 🐦‍⬛ Themes: Norse Mythology, Spirituality, History & Remembrance 💜 Behind the Story Valhalla Calling was inspired by a deeply personal spiritual experience involving Freyja and Odin, followed by events that ultimately led to the creation of Rúnveig Hrafnsdóttir's music.
