Motorcycle Adventure Through France 🇫🇷 | The Incredible Gorges du Tarn | Day 3

🇫🇷 THE FRENCH ADVENTURE | DAY 3 🏍️ Could these be some of the best motorcycle roads in France? Day 3 of our French motorcycle adventure takes us from Saint-Flour, deep into the spectacular Gorges du Tarn, before finishing in the picturesque village of Nant in southern France. And what a day of riding this turned out to be! We leave Saint-Flour and head into the beautiful Cantal countryside, following a network of winding departmental roads through rolling hills, wooded valleys and past impressive reservoirs. Our first proper stop is the medieval village of Estaing, where we enjoy a typically French breakfast of café noir, croissants and some rather delicious pastries before continuing south. From here, the roads just keep getting better! Passing through Saint-Laurent-d'Olt and La Canourgue, we eventually reach one of the highlights of the entire trip: Point Sublime, with its breathtaking panoramic views over the Gorges du Tarn. But the adventure doesn't stop there. We descend into the gorge on a series of tight hairpin bends before following the incredible D907bis, with roads carved directly into towering limestone cliffs, dramatic rock overhangs and sweeping bends alongside the River Tarn. We also pass the fascinating Pas de Soucy, where enormous fallen boulders have transformed the course of the river. This really is motorcycle touring at its finest! After exploring the gorge, we cross the River Tarn and climb back onto the plateau, following the D986 towards our overnight destination in Nant. And after a day of incredible riding, what better way to finish than with freshly made pizzas and a well-earned Kronenbourg 1664 on draught?
