Throne Of Darkness - Episode 14 - Toyotomi Dining Hall

The Samurai push even deeper into the Toyotomi Citadel, and the situation is becoming more desperate by the moment. The enemy resistance is beginning to feel weaker, but that may not necessarily be good news. If so few Toyotomi Samurai remain, who will be left standing when the final battle comes? The priority is simple: clear the next area and find the Toyotomi leader. The Samurai move quickly from room to room, cutting through whatever remains of the enemy forces. The familiar undead have given way to more disciplined and dangerous warriors. Arrow Masters keep the pressure on from a distance, while Vanguards and Honor Guards charge into battle and attempt to stop the Samurai from advancing. The party refuses to give them the opportunity. With the Leader, Brick, Berserker, Archer, Wizard, Ninja, and Swordsman continuing to rotate through the formation, every warrior gets a chance to contribute. The stronger front-line fighters hold the enemy in place while the ranged characters pick off threats from a distance. Meanwhile, the Wizard and Ninja continue gaining the experience they need to keep pace with the rest of the party. One thing becomes increasingly obvious as the Samurai advance—the Toyotomi defenders are running out of options. Room after room falls silent. Arrow Masters are cut down, Vanguards are overwhelmed, and even the heavily armed Honor Guards cannot stop the relentless advance. Whatever force once defended this section of the citadel has been almost completely destroyed. Eventually, the Samurai reach another set of stairs. But instead of relief, there is an uneasy feeling hanging over the party. Something feels different above them. The darkness seems deeper, the atmosphere heavier, and whatever awaits beyond those stairs may be far more dangerous than the enemies they have just defeated. The Samurai have survived another section of the Toyotomi Citadel, but the real danger may only now be revealing itself. What is waiting in the darkness above?
