Kitzbuhler Horn (Austria) - 1970m - 9.7km - 12.9% - 17.5% for 0.5km The climb to the Alpenhaus is the steepest of its kind in Austria and is considered as one of the hardest tests in top international cycling sport. Despite the fact that the Panoramastraße from the foot of the mountain to the Alpenhaus is shorter in distance and altitude meters than many of the famous Tour de France stages, the continuous climb of a gradient measuring up to 22.3% combined with tits being particularly exposed to the sun is responsible for the difficulty of this course.
