MY WORST RACE EVER? 😩 | ARGE ALP Orienteering 2026 | Long Distance | 8th Place

🔥 ARGE ALP Orienteering 2026 – Full Long Distance Race | Cunardo, Italy Experience the ARGE ALP Orienteering 2026 Long Distance race in Cunardo, Italy! 🌲🧭 Join me, Cristiano Pagliari, for the full race video from this international orienteering event, where athletes from across the Alpine region face a demanding test of endurance, speed and navigation. This was a long and very physical race, with plenty of trails and relatively simple navigation. The biggest challenge was staying focused and making sure I didn't miss the right exit from the paths. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned… 🎯 MY RACE EXPERIENCE – MY WORST RACE EVER? The course itself wasn't particularly difficult from a navigation point of view, but it was extremely physical. There were plenty of trails, and the key was to stay on the right route and avoid mistakes at the trail junctions. Unfortunately, I made a few small mistakes early in the race. From control 8 onwards, I started feeling mentally fatigued, and that's when more mistakes began to creep in. By control 12, I had probably compromised my race completely. I'm quite disappointed with my performance because I know I could have done much, much better. I finished in 8th place, but the result doesn't really reflect what I believe I was capable of achieving on this course. Sometimes, orienteering isn't just about running fast or finding controls. It's also about staying mentally sharp when your body starts getting tired. This time, I struggled to maintain that focus when it mattered most.
