Geographical Origin: The waterfall is formed by the sacred Kumaradhara River. The river originates at the peak of Kumara Parvatha (Pushpagiri Hills) and tumbles down more than 200 feet in a dramatic two-tiered drop.  The Journey of the Water: After putting on a massive show at the foot of the Pushpagiri hills, the Kumaradhara River flows down through the holy town of Kukke Subrahmanya. It eventually merges with the Netravati River at Uppinangadi before emptying into the Arabian Sea near Mangalore.
