Hi! I'm Tuma, a Japanese woman living in Tohoku, Japan. Enjoying the solo life. 🇯🇵 September arrived while I was still buried in work. Washed the sheets. Took a bath. Made salmon chanchan-yaki. The mirin was gone, the foil wouldn't close, the pumpkin dissolved into soup. It still felt like enough of a reset for tonight. 🌱 Leave tomorrow's worries to tomorrow's me. I hope you enjoy a quiet, imperfect evening in Tohoku with me. ───────────────────── ▶ RECIPE ───────────────────── 🐟 Salmon Chanchan-yaki Ingredients (1 serving) ・Salmon — 1 piece ・Maitake mushrooms — as needed ・Bunashimeji mushrooms — as needed ・Mixed vegetables — as needed ・Butter — 10g Sauce: ・Miso — 1 tbsp ・Sake — 1 tbsp ・Sugar — 1/2 tbsp ・Mirin — 1 tbsp Instructions ① Cut mushrooms and vegetables into bite-sized pieces. ② Pat the salmon dry and season with salt and pepper. ③ Mix miso, sake, sugar, and mirin for the sauce. ④ Place vegetables and salmon on foil. Add plenty of mushrooms. ⑤ Spread the miso sauce over the top and add butter. ⑥ Close the foil, place in a frying pan, add a little water, and steam for 7–8 minutes. ───────────────────── 🎬 Quiet daily life of a solo woman living in rural Tohoku, Japan. ───────────────────── #livingalone #japanvlog #Tohoku #ruralJapan #dailylifeinjapan #salmonrecipe #chanchan #japanesefood #japanfood #autumninjapan #selfcare #japaneserecipe #simplelife #japandailylife #freelancelife Your support helps me keep sharing good food and simple moments ☕️ Thank you always 🤍 🍙 https://buymeacoffee.com/Tumadaily
