✝️ Saint Bartholomew the Apostle Feast Day: August 24 One of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Also known as: Nathanael Occupation: Fisherman From: Cana in Galilee Known for: His honest skepticism, the fig tree, his immediate profession of faith in Jesus, preaching the Gospel, and his martyrdom. One of the most beautiful things about Bartholomew's story is that we actually have a personal encounter between him and Jesus in the Gospel of John. And there is a wonderful detail that makes him especially memorable: 🌳 Jesus saw him sitting under a fig tree before Philip even brought him to Jesus. That little detail becomes the signature image for Saint Bartholomew. 🙏 Prayer Dear Saint Bartholomew, You were once unsure when you first heard about Jesus. But you came to see Him. And when you met Him, you recognized who He was. Help me when I have questions. Give me courage to search for truth. Help me listen when Jesus calls me. And when I feel alone, remind me of the fig tree. Jesus sees me. Jesus knows me. Jesus loves me. Help me follow Him with the same courage you showed throughout your life.
