Rigi Mountain Railway ~ 26th July 2026 (Part 1)

Part 1 of my visit to the Rigi Mountain Railway on 26th July 2026. After our paddle steamer cruise on Lake Lucerne, our Railtrail Tours' group had some time to take a look around at Vitznau Station (435 metres above sea level), including the Train Depot with its multi-track turntable. Then, we took the train from Vitznau all the way up to Rigi Klum Station (1,748 metres above sea level) via the following two stations: Rigi Kaltbad-First (1,433 metres above sea level) Rigi Staffelhohe (1,550 metres above sea level) NOTES: At Rigi Staffelhohe, I filmed the three trains coming down the mountain which passed our train. At Rigi Klum, I filmed one train arrival, followed by a train departure from the Summit Station. Also, featured in this video is the history of Niklaus Riggenbach (1817 ~ 1899), who invented the cogwheel railway system.
