12 Classic Screen Stars Who Fell Into Delusion

An actress disappears for four days and is found sheltering outdoors in Los Angeles, convinced someone has sent men to kill her. Her name comes later. First, we follow Oscar nominee Randy Quaid, whose claims about a group he called the “Hollywood Star Whackers” were never supported by evidence. He and his wife fled to Canada, while legal troubles and the collapse of his film career followed. Then there is Veronica Lake: a Paramount star whose famous peek-a-boo hairstyle once made her instantly recognizable, but who was later found working as a Manhattan barmaid. These are the opening stories in a look at twelve performers whose experiences challenged the public image Hollywood had built around them. The claims, the careers, and the people behind the headlines deserve a closer look. #ClassicHollywood #HollywoodHistory #ClassicFilm #ScreenLegends #RandyQuaid #VeronicaLake #CelebrityStories #HollywoodMysteries #FilmHistory #Stars
