When You Can See It, You Move Differently | Creative Flow, Ambition & Self-Belief

What happens when you believe in something before there’s any evidence that it’s going to work? I was supposed to record a completely different episode of Dear Christiano this week. Instead, after finding myself deep inside one of the most intense creative periods I’ve experienced in years, I realised this was the conversation I needed to have. In just over a week, I created around 30 LGBTQIA+ songs, launched a new music project, created and scheduled videos, built systems around it — and spent days completely absorbed in the process. The strange part? Hardly anybody is watching yet. There’s no viral success story here. No huge numbers. No proof that any of this is going to become what I can imagine it becoming. But I can see it. And when you can see where you're going, you move differently. In this episode, I explore creative flow, ambition, self-belief, productivity and what happens when an idea starts pulling you forward. I also question the other side of it: when does passion become obsession? When is changing direction self-awareness rather than procrastination? And do we sometimes need to stop chasing perfect balance and allow ourselves to ride the creative wave? Because maybe we spend too much of our lives asking for evidence before we're willing to believe. Sometimes you have to create the thing nobody has asked for yet. Sometimes you have to trust yourself before anybody else validates the idea.
