Can you miss a life you wouldn't actually choose again? After a night out at a gay club, I found myself remembering the friends, freedom, and experiences that shaped my twenties. I had an incredible time dancing and being camp, but I also felt a sadness I hadn't expected. So many of the people who were once such an important part of my life are no longer in it. In this episode of Dear Christiano, I'm exploring what it means to grieve old friendships while still loving the life you've created. I'm also sharing what recent experiences with new friendships and a personal relationship breakthrough have taught me about communication, reciprocity, emotional needs, and the difference between healthy boundaries and protective walls.
