Filmed September 10, 2026 Badminton at the 20th Asian Games is played in Ichinomiya, at Ichii Shinkin Arena — the Ichinomiya City Gymnasium — from September 20 to 29. Team events come first, September 20 to 24, then the individual events from the 25th. In badminton this is close to a world championship: China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, India, Malaysia and Chinese Taipei are all here. The arena is not within walking distance of the station, so this walk ends at the shuttle bus stop instead of at the venue. One thing to get right first. Two stations sit side by side here and both are called Ichinomiya: Owari-Ichinomiya on the JR line and Meitetsu Ichinomiya on the Meitetsu line. They share the same building, and the walk starts from the west exit either way. From the gates it is about ten minutes. The route runs through the concourse, past the Asian Games badminton poster, then straight through i-Mall — the shopping centre built into the station, with a piano standing in the middle of it — out to the plaza on the west side, and then into quiet back streets for most of the way.
