PolMig Fieldwork Diaries with Constantin Herburger

Returning from fieldwork across Africa, team members of PolMig (“The Political Lives of Migrants: Perspectives from Africa”) share their reflections from the first fieldwork phase. In this episode, the project’s research assistant Constantin Herburger speaks about his experience conducting fieldwork abroad for the first time. Using innovative methods like migrant agency diaries and theatre workshops, the project examines how factors like migration trajectory, gender, class and race shape this agency.
