Latin Zeppelin [Full Album] (Latin Acid Rock)

Roll & Toast Records is proud to announce the release of Latin Zeppelin, the ambitious and incendiary album produced by fictional Mexican-American guitarist, composer, and sonic visionary Rocky Santero. A project born from equal parts reverence and audacity, Latin Zeppelin asks — and resoundingly answers — a question that no one dared ask before: what would it sound like if Led Zeppelin had grown up on the sun-scorched streets of East Los Angeles? Drawing from his mexican roots and his upbringing in the barrios of Southern California, Santero has spent most of his life perfecting an approach to guitar that fuses the mythical fire of Carlos Santana's spiritual sustain with the swaggering, blues-soaked electricity of '70s Chicano rock pioneers like El Chicano, Tierra, and Malo. On Latin Zeppelin, that synthesis meets its ultimate proving ground: the complete reimagining of eleven Led Zeppelin classics. Every track on this record has been disassembled and rebuilt from the ground up. Jimmy Page's iconic riffs breathe anew through Santero's custom amplifier rig — a hybrid of vintage British tube heads and hand-wired Mexican modifications that gives his tone a warmth and growl entirely his own. Congas, timbales, and Afro-Cuban percussion ride alongside thunderous rock drumming. Hammond organ lines curl and shimmer with a tropical heat. And through it all, Santero's guitar — soulful, relentless, eloquent — leads the way like a streetwise shaman channeling two continents at once.
