Gloria Diaz 1945 - 2026

Gloria M. Diaz, age 81, of Adrian, MI, passed away, October 16, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 9, 1945, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Pedro & Andrea (Mendez) Torres. On August 17, 1970, she married Pedro R. "Pete" Diaz Sr., he preceded her in death on April 13, 2018. Gloria worked as a cashier at K-Mart & Wal-Mart for many years before her retirement. She was dedicated to going to church and worshiping Her Lord and Savior. Gloria enjoyed baby-sitting and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved doing the coloring game on her tablet. She is survived by her children, Jeff P. Diaz, Sr., Teresa M. Diaz and Pedro "Pete" Diaz, Jr., her grandchildren, Johnny J. Torres, Arturo Torres, Nickolas Fredricks, Julian Torres, Simone Burciaga, Gabriel Diaz, Ariel Diaz, Jeffrey Diaz, Jr., Santana Diaz, Santiago (Bayleigh) Garcia, Valencia Velazquez, Anastacia Velazquez, Jasmine Altaffer, Bryson Altaffer, Justin Cousino; numerous great grandchildren that include, Santiago J. Garcia, Analeigha Garcia, Anthony Collins, Nataleigha Garcia and baby Vae'yanah; one sister, Josefina "Chepa" Sarabia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Pedro "Pete" Diaz Sr., she was preceded in death by her daughter; Melva Torres; her son, Louis "Louie" Torres; her parents, Pedro & Andrea Torres; and numeous brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2026, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Henry Burciaga officiating. Cremation will follow. Viewing and Visitation will be on Thursday October 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.
